Egg on Toast

In the last month or so I have started to periodically, usually on a Saturday morning, make a sunny-side-up egg on toast for Ben. I can make scrambled eggs and omelets okay and thought I could give this a go. Since I have started I have learned that making sunny-side-up eggs is harder than it looks. My egg flipping skills need additional work but I am very happy this morning with my results. Typically I end up breaking the yolk in my attempts to flip it for a quick cook on the opposite side but this time I managed to keep it intact!

How do you like your eggs cooked? Any tips as I continue to work on this skill? Let me know in the comments. If you have any eggy breakfast photos tag me on Instagram @just.a.little.bit.sweet.

  1. I really enjoyed poached eggs but have only had a modicum of success using the microwave. I have mastered the art of soft boiled eggs now thought to a T. And thanks to using a cooking lid, I can also make fried eggs pretty well too. As a matter of preference, yokes have to be runny but whites solid. Practice makes perfect and why when I do make eggs, I usually have two or three at a time 🙂

I prefer my eggs scrambled or as an omelette always with some cheese, but I make an egg over easy for my husband.

      1. Delicious 🙂 I could eat eggs every day but I’d have to prepare them in different ways to stop myself from getting bored with the same style 🙂
