In the short time since we’ve gotten our home, we have done the regular things to make a home ones’ own and normal maintenance and more.
Most of the family holiday dinners we go to, be it Thanksgiving or Christmas, is served buffet style. With the food out in the kitchen, there is plenty of space on the table for mom’s china place settings, butter, salt, pepper, and a centerpiece. The most memorable centerpiece my Mom puts out is her Snowbabies.
Ben gave me a DSLR camera, a Canon EOS Rebel T6, early for Christmas this year!
I had a lunch late last month with a friend and we had a lot of fun catching up and talking about Christmas cookies. Leaving that lunch the idea of a Christmas cookie baking day was born and oh am I over ambitious.
With a live Christmas tree comes pine tree trimmings! The trimmed branches have been sitting outside for a bit and I finally made it to the craft store this week to pick up a couple of wreath frames, floral wire, and extra decor for my three wreaths.
This holiday snack is salty and sweet, yum yum! Round pretzels filled will kisses and M&Ms. Sweet milk chocolate and a salty pretzel keep me coming back for more.
In the area, we live in a big fundraising effort is made in December for We Care. Efforts involve Christmas light displays, people out collecting with donation buckets at intersections, a telethon, and apparently a shop with cookbooks!
We’ve been busy once again making an effort to organize stuff from our move in order to put out the Christmas decorations.
A just a quick look back over my blog posting history that started in July…. man was that an intense November.
