Is there a pasta shape you dislike? I prefer to avoid shells because they stick together and don’t cook or coat with sauce evenly. Our pantry is mostly stocked with rotini and penne.

I don’t dislike pasta shells, but they are a pain to drain properly. No matter how much you shake them and stir them, there’s always one that sneakily holds onto its boiling hot water, waiting to scald the unsuspecting mouth!

Oh ouch! I hadn’t thought of hot water getting caught in the shells, I usually end up with a mouthful of not well cooked pasta at some point in my dish, because of the nesting.
