Mixing Up a New Skill

I have recently made the decision to get a 3D printer. It is something for the last few years that I would every so often make a comment that “hey, if I had a 3D printer I could make…” and after saying it for so long and with Ben’s encouragement I took the leap and got one. I held back my tendency to overthink and research and with only a short search I found one on sale and went with it.

This new adventure with 3D printing is something I plan on sharing with you in the coming weeks. To start off let’s say there is much for me to learn, printing settings, terminology, filaments, finishing a product, molding, design, etc. If you’d check my recent youtube video searches you would see it flooded with seeking advice on this topic.

As this is a deviation from the regular baking topics on the blog I will accompany it with this mixtape design I made, because you know I’m “mixing” it up. *I like punny humor*

How exciting! I’ve been wanting one for awhile now, too. I’m excited to see what you come up with!

I have a few things in mind but I need to figure out how to get my idea into a modeling software and then to the real world. I hope to 3D print the piece then create a mold to make it in cement or resin. All new skills to me! 🙂

  2. I feel like if I get a 3D printer I would be so excited to get one and then my mind would be immediately blank as to what to print as soon as I bought it. I want to think long and hard about what I want to print before buying one. I can’t wait to see what goodies you decide to crank out with yours, as I continue to work through your posts this month 🙂
