Sims Home Designs

I think it was late elementary when I was first introduced to the Sims games. Somehow I fell in love with creating characters, homes, and playing out their days. I’m no longer sure exactly what aspect I first got hooked on but I do remember first seeing and playing the game at a friend’s house and from there it has been history.

At that time it was the original Sims. I still remember my frustration when I tried to get my two sims to marry. I would have them hang out for hours chatting and then:

“Will you marry me?”

“I’m hungry” or “I’m tried, I’m going to head home, bye”

I would cook for the next time or ask earlier in the hangout and to this day I don’t think I ever got them together. Since then the gameplay and graphics have vastly improved as I played Sims 2, 3 and now 4. Over the years I have found that I really enjoy building homes. Thus on my Sims 4 gallery (username Willowlyn), I have shared over 60 lots, mostly residential homes.

I get quite a bit of my inspiration from homes I see in magazines and I try my best to replicate the exterior I see to something in the Sim’s world and then use my imagination to fill in the interior.

Do you play the Sims? What do you enjoy about the game? Any home ideas I should try?

Sweetly,
