It’s nice when browsing through a cookbook that you find that recipe that sounds delicious and has simple cooking instruction. We found this pasta recipe gem in the We Care cookbook a few weeks ago and decided to try it out this evening.

Some mornings with Emma start off with lazy belly rubs or are full energy and insist fetching of tennis balls.
Just a quick home update. I am making great headway on my unpacking/organizing front.
In a search for inspiration, I went to Pinterest to see what was trending… curd recipes, apparently. Raspberry, lemon, strawberry, cranberry, pineapple, orange, the list goes on and on of curd recipes you can find.
Now let’s get honest, I’ve been posting a lot of photos of well-balanced dinners over on my Instagram. All inspired and feeling that “Yes” I can totally do this on the regular after that cooking class last week.
I do, scratch that, I can enjoy a good salad.
For my birthday in November, I was given the gift of “Do Something”. My something happened to be a cooking class yesterday evening with my husband, Ben.
It’s been below zero (Fahrenheit) where I live for a few days now, I think it about time to just say it. Brr!!
In the short time since we’ve gotten our home, we have done the regular things to make a home ones’ own and normal maintenance and more.
Most of the family holiday dinners we go to, be it Thanksgiving or Christmas, is served buffet style. With the food out in the kitchen, there is plenty of space on the table for mom’s china place settings, butter, salt, pepper, and a centerpiece. The most memorable centerpiece my Mom puts out is her Snowbabies.
Ben gave me a DSLR camera, a Canon EOS Rebel T6, early for Christmas this year!
I had a lunch late last month with a friend and we had a lot of fun catching up and talking about Christmas cookies. Leaving that lunch the idea of a Christmas cookie baking day was born and oh am I over ambitious.
With a live Christmas tree comes pine tree trimmings! The trimmed branches have been sitting outside for a bit and I finally made it to the craft store this week to pick up a couple of wreath frames, floral wire, and extra decor for my three wreaths.
This holiday snack is salty and sweet, yum yum! Round pretzels filled will kisses and M&Ms. Sweet milk chocolate and a salty pretzel keep me coming back for more.
In the area, we live in a big fundraising effort is made in December for We Care. Efforts involve Christmas light displays, people out collecting with donation buckets at intersections, a telethon, and apparently a shop with cookbooks!
